Help us raise the roof for history!

Join the Zeeland Historical Society for our first-ever Foundations Auction, an online event supporting the exhibits and programs that preserve Zeeland’s stories and architecture for generations to come.

From exclusive experiences and handcrafted treasures to local gift packages and one-of-a-kind pieces celebrating our community’s heritage, every bid helps build a stronger foundation for the future.

Proceeds from this auction directly support the mission of the Zeeland Historical Society—connecting people, past and present, through engaging exhibits, educational programs, and preservation initiatives.

Bidding closes at noon on November 15, at the conclusion of the Heritage Brunch. Participation in the auction is open to everyone—you do not need to attend the brunch to bid. Winners may pick up their items at the Dekker Huis Museum or choose to have them shipped for an additional fee.

Auction Registration: Step-by-Step Guide
Registering for the Auction

  1. . Select the “Register for the Auction” link.
  2. Choose the number of tickets you would like to purchase (only one ticket per individual is required), then select “Next.”
  3. Complete the contact details form. Be sure to include your email address and phone number to receive important updates about your account. When finished, select “Next.”
  4. If you are representing a business or organization, enter the relevant company details. If you are registering as an individual, you may skip this step and select “Next” to complete your account setup.
  5. You will be automatically redirected to the login details page. Enter the verification code sent to your email or phone, create a password, and log in to your new account.
  6. Check your email for confirmation and ticket details.

Placing Bids on Auction Items

  1. Select the “View the Auction Items” link in the Auction items section at the center of the page.
  2. Browse the available items and click on the one you are interested in. Then select “Place Bid.”
  3. You will be prompted to Add a payment method. Enter your credit card or direct bank transfer details, then select “Add Payment Method.” You will NOT be charged unless you win the item once the auction closes.
  4. Re-enter your bid amount and push “Place Bid.”
  5. Your bid is now placed! You may continue browsing and placing bids on other items.
  6. If you would like to monitor an item without bidding immediately, click the flag icon in the bottom-right corner of the item’s display box to add it to your watchlist. You can return and place a bid whenever you’re ready!
