Getting a House Plaque
Zeeland Historical Society’s House Plaque Program recognizes houses in the City of Zeeland, Zeeland Charter Township, and Holland Charter Township that are over 70 years old and maintain their original exterior architecture.
The program is a way to highlight preservation efforts by inspiring further community involvement and interest in the town’s architectural heritage. The program has helped foster a connection between residents and their local history, encouraging the preservation of the area’s unique character for future generations.
If you live in a historic home in the City of Zeeland, Zeeland Charter Township, or Holland Charter Township and would like a plaque, please download and fill out the application below. You can submit it using our application form.

Yes, you will be charged $200 upon turning in your application. If your application is denied, you will be refunded the full amount.
