The Gilbert D. Karsten American Legion Auxiliary was chartered in 1925. The local ladies that had been previously supporting The Gilbert D. Karsten American Legion Unit 33 decided it was time to create their own organization to continue the work of supporting veterans, active-duty military, and their families. They put on fundraisers, had events and gatherings all advertised in the local newspapers, fliers, and word of mouth.

This year, The Gilbert D. Karsten American Legion Auxiliary has added Facebook as another source of getting their message out. We are at American Legion Auxiliary Unit 33 Gilbert D. Karsten. There you will find our latest events. Included are the ALA District, Department, and National news, along with other organizations that focus on supporting veterans, active-duty military, those that made the ultimate sacrifice, and their families.

Thank you to the Zeeland Historical Society and the Zeeland Welcome Center for adding us to their Organizations Page and for posting articles about our community organization.
