School Visits 2022!

In March of 2022, the historical society was delighted to have all the second graders from both Zeeland Public and Zeeland Christian, come to the 1881 New Groningen Schoolhouse. In total we had 321 students from Zeeland Public Schools and 76 from Zeeland Christian.

At the museum we learned about how to use artifacts to learn about the past and the story of the first settlers of Zeeland. At the schoolhouse students learned about how the classroom experience has changed from the turn of the 20th century to today.
