"Remembering Flag Day" - June 29, 2019

On Saturday, June 29, the Zeeland Historical Society hosted the monthly Children's Activity at the Zeeland Historical Museum. Between 10 AM and noon, we greeted 25 visitors.

 

The parents and children enjoyed the following activities: 

  • Colored the flag of the United States of America
  • Painted a chicken and added "feathers" and flags
  • Decorated cookies with "red, white and blue" frosting
  • Made an origami chair by folding paper 
  • Made a chair out of junk
  • Constructed buildings with Lincoln Logs and dressed up in pioneer clothing

Saturday's volunteers were Debbie Albert, Arlene Steenwyk, Audrey Rojo, Jackie Swanezy and National Honor Society member, Lauren Roedel.  Thank you, ladies!!
