The Zeeland Historical Museum opened its doors from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, April 23, to compliment the Dutch Dance event in downtown Zeeland. See the kinder and high school dutch dancers here.
"We hosted 127 people at the museum and served bottled water and cookies. Some visitors were Dutch dancers and their families; others were people who came to watch the Dutch dance and stopped in after seeing our doors were open. Several of the kinder dancers remembered being in the museum when they were second graders, and they were excited to lead their parents around to the things they remembered. Some were actually dragging parents by the hand through the museum." Written by volunteer, Linda K.
THANK YOU to all of the volunteers who worked tirelessly on this exhibit. Not only did they dress the mannequins, but they researched and generated signage, provided refreshments, loaned or acquired the costumes, and much more. Special thanks to Debbie A., Mary C., Ken K., Linda K., Arlene S. and Sheila W.
