On Saturday, October 5, the Zeeland Historical Museum opened its doors from 9 AM to 5 PM to host Civil War re-enactors during Pumpkinfest.
The soldiers fired their muskets and provided wooden muskets for the kids to try out. They also set up a table with artifacts from the Civil War period. Inside the museum, the lady re-enactors (dressed in period clothing) displayed many artifacts including coffee grinders, stereoscope pictures and much more.
During the day, 263 visitors signed the guest book in the museum.
Thanks to all volunteers for hosting this successful and educational event !
